Josh Girard, MS., PLMHP (He/Him)
Each and everyone of us are storytellers. We all have a voice or a story that needs to be told and as your therapist it will be my main focus to better acquaint you with yours. As a queer and neurodivergent person, I know the struggles in finding a therapist who can understand and work with you in how you see the world. My goal as a therapist is to hold safe spaces for people to tell me their story, find their voice, and to feel seen. Navigating through our world is hard enough, therapy should not be the challenge but a beacon of hope.
I welcome anyone who is actively looking to improve their mental health and to process past and current traumas that prevent them from feeling seen and heard! While I accept all clients regardless of backgrounds I specialize in working with the neurodivergent community and the LGBTQ+ population! I am well versed in numerous theories including DBT, CBT, somatic work, Narrative, and Feminist theories. I am passionate about working with social justice and advocacy work so our voices can be heard and seen on a wider stage. Clients should feel empowered through therapy. My goal is for every person to leave each session feeling more comfortable in their skin and confident in who they are and the spaces they take up. And through therapy we can learn the tools to resist when life wants to take our power away. Let's take this journey together and find the narrative to your story!
