Amber Magallon, Clinical Intern (She/Her)
Welcome! I know that coming to therapy can be scary, but taking that first step is a major accomplishment. I understand how vulnerable and difficult it can be to open up those parts of yourself to another person. Because of that, I aim to connect with my clients by showing up authentically and creating a space where openness is met with care, not judgment. I approach each person with a deep respect for their unique story.
My clinical practice utilizes Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). These approaches honor the complexity of your inner world and relationships, while supporting healing, through connection and self-compassion. I have additional training in the Gottman method, which is an advanced modality focused on working with complex relational dynamics. As well as Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) which seeks to heal complex family dynamics to ensure my clients receive the best possible evidenced based care.
I believe therapy should be a safe, affirming, and inclusive space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow at your own pace! I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, individuals, couples, and families. Whether you're exploring your identity, healing from past wounds, or navigating relational challenges, I strive to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and cultural sensitivity. I see each person as the expert of their own life, capable of connecting with their inner self and shaping their own path forward. My goal is to understand your story and how it’s shaped where you are today. I celebrate and work with people of all backgrounds and identities!
